Safeword

A safeword is an agreed word or signal that immediately pauses or stops an activity, regardless of anything else being said. It exists so that 'no' is never ambiguous. Many people use a simple traffic-light system — green to continue, yellow to slow down or check in, red to stop. A safeword is a tool of trust, not a failure of it.
